Waly Waly
Traditional
There is a ship, and she sails the sea
She’s loaded deep, as deep can be.
But not as deep as the love I’m in.
I know not how I sink or swim.
The water is wide I cannot cross o’er.
And neither have I wings to fly.
Give me a boat that can carry two.
And both shall row my love and I.
I leaned my back up against an oak.
Thinking it was a trusty tree.
But first it swayed, and then it broke.
And so did my true love to me.
O, love is handsome, and love is fine.
Bright as a jewel when first it’s new.
But love grows old and waxes cold.
And fades away like the morning dew.
